I think an alternate way would be to rollback the X4 version with steamcmd, start a savegame, add the money there and then update X4 again.

I know there is the custom starts but it does not fulfill my needs, and it seems that due to the mods I can't do anything interesting.Īnyone knows how to edit the money in-memory in the newer versions? This is not working anymore, it seems the developers masked the money field in some way. In the past, I have used the equivalent of cheat engine for my platform (I use linux, so it's an application called gameconqueror) and tried to follow the recipe: search a 8-byte field for the money you have multiplied by 100 (that is, 00 appended to the number - if it's 14539, it will be 1453900). I want to at least accelerate one of the slowest parts of the gameplay, which is moneymaking. However, I want to skip some stuff to the to the point I am now. I do however want to use the new online features of X4, and start a new game without mods.
